A delicious alternative to Irish Coffee

A delicious alternative to Irish Coffee

I can’t believe I missed Irish Coffee Day! However, I have another hot favourite which I was introduced to almost eight years ago.

In the end of November 2013 I attended the first ever Hernö Gin Cocktail Awards here in Stockholm, and the winner was Oskar Johansson with his hot cocktail Jakt & Tonic. Using the Irish Coffee formula, but with gin instead of Irish whisky and tonic water instead of coffee, he had created a very unusual and also delicious drink, with the juniper-infused whipped cream on top. It definitely deserves to become a modern classic, so here I provide you with the original recipe again. For some reason, Hernö Gin now promotes the drink with plain whipped cream topped with lingonberry powder – why not try that as well?
